Here’s an article I stumbled upon that states the obvious, vaping is gaining fast on cigarettes. We the vapers know it, and so do big tobacco, vaping is the new smoking.
The Kentucky Farm Bureau decided that e-cigarettes should be taxed the same as tobacco products. We have had this discussion before and many in our community (including I) believe taxation is needed only in justifiable means.
But going to the comments, I saw some interesting points being brought up. Most of those who left comments were opposed to taxing saying, “The E-Cigs are assisting many to stop smoking. Do not tax a product that can possibly improve the health of thousands.” Other comments were, “E-cigs are over 95% safer than smoking and you should be welcoming them with open arms!”
Now thinking about it again, should a product that is beneficial and is supposed to counter smoking be taxed…
